Pub Details

Traditional pub with several different seating areas inside. Near Newbury Racecourse. The pub has an attractive sheltered garden with shrubs and fruit trees. It is worth looking at the photos of the pub, found mainly on the walls of the original pub building, showing how it has changed since the 1960’s. Copies of the various original documents that can help chart the early life of the pub are also on display. From the historic photos, it can be seen that the pub has been owned by Simonds, Courage and Eldridge Pope prior to Marston’s ownership.

There are special food offers on different days of the week: Tuesday – burger night Wednesday – curry night; Thursday – steak night; Sunday – roast lunch. There is also a meat raffle and quiz night on Sundays.
