About the pub
Reopened in 2013 as a community run pub after being listed as an asset of community value. It has both a friendly and traditional feel. There are four handpumps with three in regular use for dispensing mainly local ales. A log fire burns during the winter months. The pub hosts monthly quiz nights, music nights and a book club. Freshly cooked seasonal food is available daily but not Sunday evenings. Bed and breakfast accommodation is available. Closed Mondays.
