A popular inn with local residents and diners.

Reports from March 2018, soon after The Old Boot Inn reopened, that new landlord Andre has made some changes to the interior and that four West Berkshire Brewery beers are available on handpump. Draught Guinness is available. The description of meals from the pub’s website mentions ‘The Old Boot Inn offers traditional British pub classics with a modern touch.’

This is good walking country with several footpaths nearby.

Note that Monday evening opening is for drinks only and the pub is closed on Tuesdays during the winter (since January 2020).

A January 2020 announcement mentions ‘We are undergoing an overhaul and extending our already busy pub area’.

Events include: Over 60’s friendship lunch (monthly), occasional quiz nights, pub games night, live music.

(In September 2014, John Haley, the previous landlord, submitted an application for planning permission to turn the Grade II listed building into residential accommodation.)
