About the pub
Historic pub, tastefully refurbished in 2012/2013. Free House. Several distinct areas furnished with tables and chairs and suitable for both drinking and dining. Repositioned bar includes eight handpumps serving a changing selection of local and regional beers. The ales are supplemented by a large range of real ciders. Quality seasonal and locally sourced food is available lunchtimes, evenings and all day Sunday.
Awarded West Berkshire CAMRA Pub of the Year 2020.
In August 2025, the lease changed hands. A statement from the new landlord mentions an imminent light refurbishment and changes to the food and drink offering.
