About the pub
On the northern edge of Newbury, this welcoming pub is set in the centre of a picturesque village below the ruins of Donnington Castle. Tastefully refurbished in 2020 it focusses on its homemade food. It has a frontage to the River Lambourn across the road from the pub where drinks and meals can be enjoyed by the riverbank.
Previous tenants, Emma & James, last night running the pub was on Sat 30/5/2015. Sara, Robert and the team took over in the summer of 2015 until 31/1/2017. Honesty Foods are now operating the pub.
Brunch is served on Fridays and Saturdays from 9.30-11.30.
