About the pub
An attractive and imposing 17th century red brick former coaching inn, located in the heart of the village. The menu consists mainly of home-made British food, alongside several dishes influenced by international cuisine. The pub is a popular meeting place for local groups such as the book club and shooting club. Several areas including a ‘Village Bar’ and ‘The Vault’. Thursday evening is quiz night. There is a lovely garden with plenty of seating. The historic gaol house, Grade II listed, can be viewed from the garden.
