A mini beerfest featuring 7 local cask ales and 2 ciders is among events lined up for the 25th birthday of Newbury Rugby Football Club moving to Monks Lane.
The 25th birthday weekend kicks off at noon on Saturday 6 November with festival beers and ciders at £4 pint.
Other events during the weekend are: Newbury Blues v Beaconsfield (KO 2.30 pm Sat); Live music (4.30pm Sat); Wales v South Africa on big screens (5.30pm Sat); Newbury Women v Newton Abbot Women (KO 1.30pm Sun). There will be Food Stalls on site.
Festival beers / ciders list: Loddon Brewery Hullabaloo (4.2% ABV bitter) & Citra Quad (4.4% session IPA); Butts Brewery Barbus Barbus (4.6% bitter); Indigenous Brewery Tickety-Boo (4.2% golden ale) & Baldrick (3.4% mild); West Berkshire Brewery Gold Star (4.1% abv golden ale); Saviour (White Hart, Hamstead Marshall) Brewery Sanity (4.3% golden ale); Tutts Clump Berkshire Diamond (4.5% medium dry cider) & Reading Gold (5.5% medium dry cider).
Kevin Brady (Indigenous Brewery) will be serving and there may be support from Hugh &/or Mary Macaulay as James Macaulay is a Newbury Blues 1st team player.
NB It is likely that purchase of a match ticket is required for admission at certain times.
