A beer festival organised each Autumn by the Berkshire South-East branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) at the prestigious Ascot Racecourse.
Featuring over 160 different real ales, real ciders and perries, including 3 Festival Special Beers brewed especially for the festival.
The festival will also offer some top class flat racing and the chance to have a flutter if you fancy, plus live music.
Entrance tickets for the beer festival are on-sale now. See the Tickets page for details.
A voucher system will be in operation for all Beer Festival ales, ciders and perries. Vouchers can be purchased in advance or on the day.
As you might expect, this year the racecourse are implementing a number of precautions to protect against transmission of Covid-19. Information on these and guidance for attendees can be found on the Ascot Racecourse Covid-19 Statement Page.
There is parking available at Ascot Racecourse, and it is just 7 minutes walk from Ascot Railway Station. See the Ascot Racecourse Directions Page for more details. Note that a rail replacement bus service will operate from Reading on Saturday 2 October.
Entrance gates and bars will open at 11.00am on both days, with racing starting at approximately 2.00pm. Bars will close 30 minutes after the last race (expected to be approximately 6.00pm).
Reduced price tickets are available for CAMRA members booking in advance. For details visit ascotbeerfest.org.uk/tickets.php
As a race meeting will be taking place whilst the festival is on, all normal race-day facilities will be available including hot & cold food and soft drinks. Customers are welcome to bring a picnic provided they abide by the Ascot Racecourse Picnic Policy.
CAMRA members can volunteer to work at the festival. The bars of the Ascot Racecourse Beer Festival are run entirely by volunteer CAMRA members. It is great fun, but if you are hesitant you are welcome to sign up for just one session.
We are located just above the grandstand viewing area, right in the thick of the atmosphere and volunteers will have the opportunity to watch the racing during their breaks.
As a further incentive you get a free Ascot polo top, paid in beer or cider, free lunch (if working all day) and short hours (leave by 2:30pm or 7pm). Furthermore, we take tokens only (no counting of cash), and if you work 2 or more sessions there is the chance to go on a free helpers trip. To apply, please fill in the Online Staffing Form
