Over 100 nominations were received for the 2018 West Berkshire Community Pub of the Year award. To recognise their important role in different environments, the award is shared between the Cottage Inn, Upper Bucklebury, the Old London Apprentice and the Cow & Cask, Newbury.
This is the fifth time that the Cottage Inn has been recognised and reflects huge support for Gary Bush and his team from customers. One nomination stated ‘Gary has made the outside very family friendly – on the big field, perfect for kids to run around in, there is a new climbing frame and other play equipment, and a fenced area with goats, chickens, rabbits etc which the children love’.
