About the pub
Berkshire’s first micropub opened on 14 November 2014. It is situated near West Berkshire Council offices in Market Street and set back from the main road.
Space for 6 casks on custom made stillage. Beers are sourced from local breweries like Field + Theory, Ramsbury, Loddon and Indigenous. Between two and four beers are usually available, often including a dark beer.
Real ciders including Tutts Clump Cider on draught and in bottle. Drinks available are shown on a large blackboard. Furniture includes two tables, a long pew, wooden chairs and high stools. Windows on two sides give plenty of natural light.
There are several council run car parks nearby.
Pork pies, pickled eggs, rolls, pickled onions, crisps, nuts and pork scratchings may be available.
Casks are cooled by chilled water flowing through tubes between the cask and insulated jacket.
20p / pint CAMRA discount. Weekly local newspaper available.
Usually closed on Sundays and Mondays.
