The club’s 10th annual real ale festival will be held over the August Bank Holiday weekend and is open to all. It will feature around a dozen beers and three draught ciders. The beers will be from local sources – Newbury, Salisbury and further afield. Beers will be served from casks on stillage and from handpumps on the bar. See list of beers and ciders at the end of this post.

The large central lawn area of the Croft, shaded by trees provides plenty of outdoor space. There will also be outdoors live music (provisional details below) and food including pizza, BBQ and freshly filled rolls.

Saturday 27 August 12 noon – 8pm

Entertainment: De Mug Pugs 12.15pm – 1pm & 2pm – 2.45pm

Matt Russ (solo artist) 3.45pm – 4.45pm & 5.30pm – 6.30pm

Sunday 28 August 12 noon – 6pm

4 bar none (local band) 1pm – 2pm & 4pm – 5pm

West Berkshire CAMRA has arranged a visit to the festival on the Saturday from 12.30 and all are welcome to meet up during the afternoon with new members especially welcome.
